The First Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum starts today on Tuesday 11 of June with attendance of some Iranian Ministers, representatives of 63 member countries of ESCAP and chairpersons of the relevant international organization with addressing from Mr. Sattari, Head of Iranian Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, At the opening ceremony.
ESCAP is one of the United Nations Economic and Social Council entities, which endeavors in order to promote sustainable development. One of these major goals is “Strengthening the tools for the implementation and revitalization of global partnerships for the sustainable development of science, technology and innovation,” which is entrusted to the Committee on Innovation and Technology.
The First Asia-Pacific Innovation is being held along with INOTEX 2019 on 11 and 12 of June in the presence of high-ranking and international decision-makers discussing in specialized panels subjects such as government’s policies on promotion of startups, women in innovation and technology, parks and incubators, investment in innovation and technology, innovations risen from the society and south-south cooperation on promotion of science, innovation and technology.
